From a nutritional perspective, cinnamon is a powerhouse filled with antioxidants as well as manganese, calcium and iron. Cinnamon is perhaps most famous for its beneficial effects in helping blood sugar and increasing insulin sensitivity. Several plants that are members of the genus Cinnamomum are referred to as cinnamon, a common spice used in many cuisines. The bark of these plants contains an essential oil that is a component of traditional herbal medicine in China and India. Practitioners recommend cinnamon as a general health tonic.

Cinnamon contains several active compounds, including cinnamaldehyde, cinnamyl acetate and cinnamyl alcohol. These natural chemicals are antioxidants that help remove free radicals, damaging byproducts of metabolism that may injure your cells. Cinnamon also helps reduce inflammation by inhibiting production of chemicals produced by immune cells. It may also help slow the rise in your blood glucose after a meal and boost the action of insulin.

Cinnamaldehyde, one of the main active components of cinnamon, may help fight various kinds of infection. The antimicrobial effects of cinnamon may also help prevent tooth decay and reduce bad breath. Antioxidants protect your body from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. Janet H.: All ready seeing results from use after one week

I ve heard so much about cinnamon capsules helping with inflammation. I finally decided to try. I have been taking a little over a week now and already can tell the difference with inflammation and with the small skin issues that I have. I HATE the taste of cinnamon so much but the taste of these are not overpowering I highly recommend trying
