I saw a corner desk in a store. It was red, and I would need white so I shopped online until I found my perfect desk. The pictures were so good that I could assemble it without reading the directions. It may have taken an hour from start to finish, but I wasn t in a hurry. The irony was that the EXACT SAME desk was being sold from at least three different sites. Naturally, Amazon was the lowest in price and would arrive the fastest. A white desk with white walls seemed a little plain so I dropped a rolled up yoga mat you could use styrofoam, cardboard, a 2x4,... in the corner and set a fake plant on top. The plant looks like it s sitting on the desk behind my laptop. This desk has a lot more character than most, the drawer is roomy, the finish is perfect, it s solid wood, and, although the desk was made in Asia, it was shipped from Wisconsin FAST so I knew that it didn t recently hit our shores. I m so pleased with this desk. BTW: the only tool needed was the little wrench that came with the desk
