Great Lakes Treats authentic Michigan harvested whole chunk chaga 12oz bag of Great Lakes Treats bulk organic wild foraged chunk Chaga mushroom Inonotus obliquus hand harvested in beautiful Northern Michigan. Great Lakes Treats takes pride in being certified by the Institute of Sustainable Foragers and dedicated to the harvest from strictly live pristine birch trees. Your Chaga will never be harvested more than six months prior to arrival and harvested in the fall winter months. Our chaga will arrive cleaned of any debris in our licensed and inspected commercial kitchen and dried in the sun to preserve what nature has intended. We are licensed by the State of Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development as expert wild mushroom identifiers. Chaga is packaged in a resealable food grade poly bag. We recommend using 4-5 chunks per pot of tea and steeping for a minimum of 20 minutes on a low boil. After acquiring the desired strength, simply strain the chunks and any sediment from your tea and these chunks may then be re-used multiple times. Chaga can also be used to make tinctures. Well harvested with great flavorI like that it s harvested in America. Some of the best chaga I have gotten so far Nice big chunks with black on most of the pieces, which I understand is that way to go, when buying chaga I put it in my ninja to break up into smaller pieces, to make tea. The instructions on making the tea, storing preserving it are well described. It has its own distinct, lightly smooth flavor, so it doesn t taste like mushrooms or dirt
